Marketing that works.
Not more of it. Better of it.

BlazeKraft brings senior marketing thinking to small and medium businesses that have outgrown DIY but aren't ready for an agency retainer or a full-time hire. Strategy first. Execution that follows it. The same person at every stage.

Most SMEs don't have a marketing problem. They have a clarity problem. Once the positioning is right and the strategy is honest, the execution follows.

The belief BlazeKraft is built on
Why BlazeKraft

Built differently, on purpose

The name says it. Blaze is the fire — marketing with real energy behind it. Kraft is the craft and power underneath — the discipline of setting a company's marketing engine and keeping it burning. Controlled fire. Strategy with intensity.

Senior thinking, no junior handoffs

Every engagement is led by the same person who scoped it. No account manager in the middle, no briefing a team who has never spoken to you. The person who diagnosed the problem is the person solving it.

The Catalyst Process

A four-stage framework built around how growth actually happens, not how agencies bill for it. It starts with understanding your business deeply before touching a single channel.

AI as a working tool, not a selling point

Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini are active parts of our research, ideation, and refinement process. We use AI to think faster, not to think less. The strategic judgement stays human. The busywork doesn't.

Cross-market experience

Built on work across 100+ brands in New Zealand and Canada: fitness, retail, trades, industrial equipment, lifestyle. Most consultants know one market. We know what transfers and what doesn't.

The Catalyst Process

Four stages. In order.
Never skipped.

Execution without strategy is expensive noise. Every BlazeKraft engagement moves through the same four stages, because that is how growth actually happens.

01

Gathering FuelDiscovery

Deep discovery: your business, your customers, your competitive position, and the real marketing problem, which is often different from the stated one. We never recommend a channel, tool, or tactic before understanding the business.

02

Striking SparkStrategy

Positioning, messaging hierarchy, channel priorities, and the 90-day plan. Every recommendation comes with the reasoning behind it. No execution begins before this is agreed, in writing.

03

Fanning FlamesExecution

Campaigns, content, launches, channel build-out. The strategy gets put to work across the channels that matter for your business — email, social, paid, content, or the mix the strategy calls for.

Sustaining FireOptimisation

Reviewing what's working, cutting what isn't, doubling down on what's driving results. Reporting covers outcomes, not activity — and if something isn't working, you'll hear it from us first.

Services

Packaged work. Clear scope.
No open-ended hourly billing.

Every service is a package with defined deliverables and a fixed price. You always know what you're getting, what it costs, and why. The answer to "can you do it cheaper?" is no — but there's usually a smaller scope that fits.

"Marketing isn't working and I don't know why."Ignition Sprint. Diagnosis first — it's the point of it.

"We've grown fast and we sound different everywhere."Brand & Positioning Build. Foundation before volume.

"I have a launch or deadline coming."Campaign Build. Scoped to the date, strategy included.

"I want marketing handled properly, ongoing."Catalyst Retainer — most clients start with a Sprint first, so the retainer is built on evidence, not assumptions.

"My team should be using AI better."AI Marketing Workshop. Practical, hands-on, no hype.

"We just want someone to post for us cheaply."Honestly? Not us. Execution without strategy is the one thing we don't sell.

Track Record

Proof, not promises

How Engagements Run

What working with us looks like

A named lead, start to finish

The same senior marketer scopes, strategises, and delivers your engagement. You will never be handed to someone you haven't met.

Everything in writing

Every strategic recommendation, scope change, and key decision is documented and confirmed. Verbal agreements drift; written ones don't.

Outcomes, not activity

Reporting covers what changed for your business — revenue, pipeline, conversion — not how many assets got produced.

Structured communication

Scheduled check-ins matched to your tier, not ad hoc chaos. Prepared for, on time, with decisions to make.

Honesty as policy

If a strategy isn't working, you'll hear it from us first, with a plan to fix it. No vanity metrics, no burying bad news.

Referrals when we're not the fit

Web development, video production, PR — if you need something outside our genuine competence, we'll point you to someone who does it well.

The Founder

The thinking behind the brand

BlazeKraft was founded by Taj Walia, a senior marketer with over a decade of experience across more than 100 brands in Canada and New Zealand — spanning fitness equipment, D2C retail, industrial machinery, trades and safety, gifting, and an official Harley-Davidson franchise.

That breadth is the point. Taj has run marketing for multi-brand portfolios where strategy, budget, and execution all sat with him — which is exactly the situation most SME owners are in. He has led lean marketing teams and stayed hands-on in the work, so nothing at BlazeKraft is theoretical.

He holds a Master of Applied Management and built BlazeKraft on one conviction: SME owners deserve the same quality of marketing thinking that large companies pay directors for, delivered without the agency overhead.

The name is the philosophy. Blaze — the fire marketing should have when it works. Kraft — strength and craft: the discipline of building and powering a company's marketing engine. BlazeKraft exists to do both.

The firekeeper's tools

THE STANDARD WE HOLD

  • Honesty before comfort. You'll hear what you need to hear, not what you want to hear.
  • Strategy first, always. No execution begins before the strategy is agreed.
  • Do fewer things better. The client roster stays small on purpose.
  • Own the outcome. Success is what changed for your business, not what got produced.
  • Earn trust through consistency. Prepared, clear, on time, every time.
Fit Matters

Who this is for, and who it isn't

BlazeKraft is for you if...

  • You run an established business, typically $500K–$10M revenue
  • You've grown through referrals and word of mouth, and know marketing is the next lever
  • You've tried agencies and felt like a small fish, or tried DIY and hit the ceiling
  • You want to be engaged in the thinking, not just handed deliverables
  • You want honest answers more than comfortable ones

It's not for you if...

  • You're pre-revenue and looking for branding
  • You want the cheapest option — we don't compete on price
  • You want execution with no strategy behind it
  • You want to outsource the thinking entirely and stay out of the process
  • You need video production, web development, or PR as the core deliverable

FAQ

What does an engagement cost?

Everything is packaged with a fixed price — no open-ended hourly billing, ever. The Ignition Sprint is $3,500 CAD. Retainers run $3,000–$8,500/month with a three-month minimum. Projects are quoted within published ranges once scope is clear. If the budget doesn't stretch, we'd rather offer a smaller scope than a discount.

Why don't you bill hourly?

Because hours measure effort, not value. Hourly billing rewards slow work and punishes efficiency. Packaged pricing means you know exactly what you're paying and exactly what you're getting — and it keeps us focused on the outcome, not the clock.

What happens after the Ignition Sprint?

You get a 90-day action plan you fully own. Some clients execute it themselves. Some hand it to their team. Many continue with a Catalyst Retainer, where the plan becomes the working roadmap — the retainer starts on evidence rather than assumptions. There is no obligation either way, and we'll tell you honestly which route fits.

How do you use AI? Will AI be writing my marketing?

We use Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini for research, ideation, pressure-testing ideas, and refining content. Every strategic recommendation reflects genuine analysis and professional judgement — AI accelerates the process, it doesn't substitute for it. We use AI to think faster, not to think less. Nothing goes to you that hasn't passed a senior marketer's standard.

How many clients do you take on?

Deliberately few. The model is built on a small number of clients served at a high level — when we're at capacity, we say so and offer a start date rather than stretching. It's the reason the work stays good.

Can you just run our social media or ads without the strategy part?

No — and it's the most important no we say. Execution without strategy is expensive noise. If you already have a genuine strategy in place, the Striking Spark stage moves quickly and we get to work. But we won't skip it.

How do New Zealand engagements work?

Fully remote, quoted in NZD, built on an established network from years of in-market work across NZ industry sectors. The timezone gap is an advantage: Calgary's afternoon is your tomorrow morning, so work moves forward while you sleep and lands in your inbox at the start of your day.

Which industries do you know best?

Fitness and wellness, trades and construction, industrial and B2B equipment, D2C retail and e-commerce, and B2B services. That's where the 100+ brands of experience are concentrated and where we're genuinely competitive. If your industry is outside that list, we'll tell you whether the experience transfers — honestly.

Do you do web development, video, or design production?

We direct and strategise; heavy production is sourced through trusted partners where needed, and we're upfront about it. You get one accountable lead and specialists where specialists belong — never a referral fee behind a recommendation.

How fast can we start?

An Ignition Sprint typically starts within one to two weeks of agreement, depending on current capacity. The first conversation costs nothing and we'll tell you in that call whether we're the right fit — including if we're not.
